Privacy policy

Introduction

The privacy policy describes how and for what purpose we collect, process and/or use personal data. Responsible handling of data is important to us. In order to fulfil this responsibility, we continuously adapt the declaration so that the personal data of our customers can be optimally protected.

It goes without saying that we only collect personal data that is absolutely necessary for the fulfilment of our tasks.

Stored data is carefully managed and protected against misuse of any kind.

Individual and/or additional activities and operations may be regulated in further data protection declarations or legal documents such as general terms and conditions of use or conditions of participation.

Data collection

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation, all persons have the right to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. With regard to these provisions, we endeavour at all times to comply with all legal requirements on our website and web services.

General personal data

Personal data is any type of information that relates to an identifiable natural person (e.g. name, IP address, home address, etc.). The natural person is identifiable if conclusions can be drawn about the identity of the person from the available information. We process your general personal data in accordance with applicable law.

Provided data

You often provide us with your personal data yourself. If you enter your personal data and transmit it to us, it is deemed to have been provided to us. The transmission of data to us is generally voluntary, but is sometimes necessary in order to be able to use our services.

Data collected

When you use our services (website), we collect some of your data without any active involvement on your part. This data is usually data about your device and/or data about user behaviour (device, web browser, operating system, etc.).

We only store the personal data to the extent and for as long as this is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the personal data was collected, we have a legitimate overriding interest in storing it or are legally obliged to do so.

References and links

We have no influence on external sites to which we refer, nor on external sites that refer to offers on our site. We therefore cannot guarantee that the information on these sites is correct or that they are free of malware (e.g. viruses). Information and services from linked websites or web services are the full responsibility of the respective third party.

We decline any responsibility for such websites in accordance with applicable Swiss law.

Data transfer

We treat and process personal data confidentially. Personal data is only processed for the purpose for which it was provided to us and as described in this privacy policy or in accordance with applicable laws. Personal data will only be passed on to third parties (partners) if this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract for the agreed services.

Data may be passed on for services relating to the operation or use of websites, e-mails, contact forms, web shops or similar.

General principles

What data we collect / from whom we receive this data

First and foremost, we process personal data that you transmit to us or that we collect when operating our website. We may also receive personal data about you from third parties. This may include the following categories:

Personal master data (name, address, date of birth, etc.); contact data (mobile phone number, email address, etc.); financial data (e.g. account details); online identifiers (e.g. cookie identifier, IP addresses); location and traffic data; sound and image recordings; data requiring special protection (e.g. biometric data or information about your health).

Under what conditions do we process your data

We process your data in good faith and in accordance with the purposes set out in this privacy policy. In doing so, we ensure transparent and proportionate processing.

If, in exceptional cases, we are unable to comply with these principles, data processing may still be lawful because there is a justification. Possible justifications include: your consent; the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures; our legitimate interests, provided your interests do not outweigh these.

How you can withdraw your consent

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we will process your data within the scope of this consent, unless we have another justification.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the address given in the legal notice. Data processing that has already taken place is not affected by this.

How long we store your data

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the individual purposes for which the data was collected.

How we protect your data

We will store your data securely and take appropriate measures to protect your data from loss, access, misuse or alteration.

Our contractual partners and employees who have access to your data are obliged to comply with data protection regulations. In some cases, it will be necessary for us to pass on your enquiries to companies affiliated with us. Your data will also be treated confidentially in these cases.

Within our website, we use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to receive information about the personal data we have stored about you. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, block and delete your personal data, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations.

To assert your rights, please contact us via the e-mail mentioned at the beginning. We are at your disposal for further information in this regard.

Individual data processing operations

Provision of the website and creation of log files

What information we receive and use:

When you access our website, certain data is automatically stored on our servers or on servers of services and products that we purchase and/or have installed for the purposes of system administration, for statistical or backup purposes or for tracking purposes. These are:

Name of your internet service provider; IP address (in some circumstances); version of your browser software; operating system of the computer used to access the URL; date/time of access; website from which you access URL; search terms used to find URL.

Why this data can/may be processed

This data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is not merged with other data sources. The log files are stored in order to guarantee the functionality of the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. This is our legitimate interest.

How data collection can be prevented:

The data is only stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. All data is deleted at the end of the session. The storage of log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, so you have no option to object to this.

Tracking pixels

We may use tracking pixels on our website. Tracking pixels are also known as web beacons. Tracking pixels - also from third parties whose services may be used - are small, usually invisible images that are automatically retrieved when you visit our website. Tracking pixels are used to collect some of the same data as server log files. Data utilisation works in the same way as log files - you cannot prevent data collection.

Contact form

You can contact us on our website using the electronic contact form. The data you enter in the input mask, such as your name, e-mail address, etc., will be transmitted to us and stored.

We use the transmitted data to process your enquiry.

Why are we allowed to process this data?

The justification is the implementation of pre-contractual measures and our legitimate interests in dealing with the enquiry.

E-Mail

You can contact us by email on the website. If you contact us by email, the following data will be processed:

E-mail address; content, subject and date of your e-mail; contact details provided by you (e.g. name, telephone number if applicable, address).

Your details will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for follow-up questions. Our interest in dealing with your enquiry justifies the storage of this data.

Web or ticket shop

Depending on the offer, a web or ticket shop is integrated on our website. When you complete an order/booking, we collect and store the data you enter in the input screen. This includes your name, e-mail address, delivery address, telephone number and any other details.

We need your data to process and fulfil your order. We also need the data to identify you as a customer, to correspond with you, to issue invoices, to assert the agreed claims and to manage our customer data. The aim of fulfilling the order process justifies the storage of your data.

Your data will be treated confidentially and will only be passed on to third parties in the context of contract fulfilment and where it is necessary. To process the delivery of your order, your name and address must be transmitted to the carrier.

Ticket sales may be processed by a third-party provider. The payment and contact details you provide will be passed on to the carrier for the purpose of payment processing and dunning. The carrier is acting on our behalf and may not use the transmitted data for its own purposes.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are data records that are stored on the operating system of your device with the help of the browser when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. This allows us to save certain settings (such as language settings or location information) so that you do not have to re-enter them when you visit the website again.

We use cookies so that we can make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. The use of cookies and the processing of your data in this regard is based on our legitimate interests in the aforementioned purposes.

Cookies are stored on your computer. You have full control over the use of cookies. You can delete them completely or deactivate and/or restrict their transmission by changing the settings in your browser. If you deactivate cookies for our website, you may no longer be able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent.

Third-party services and social networks

In the case your data is passed on to third parties

We may need to use the services of third parties. These may be commissioned to process your data. We ensure that third parties and affiliated companies comply with data protection requirements. We may also be obliged to disclose your data to authorities. We only pass on your personal data if:

You have given your consent;

this is necessary to fulfil the contract or implement agreed measures and to enforce our rights; there is a legal obligation to do so;

we have a legitimate interest in doing so and your interests to the contrary do not prevail.

Transfer abroad. Under certain circumstances, your personal data may be transferred to companies abroad as part of order processing. These companies are obliged to protect data to the same extent as we are. The transfer may take place worldwide.

Other recipients

In addition, we may transfer your personal data to other recipients. These include authorities to fulfil statutory reporting obligations (e.g. law enforcement authorities or social welfare authorities).

Services that we use

We use services from specialised third parties in order to be able to carry out our activities and operations in a permanent, user-friendly, secure and reliable manner. Among other things, we can use such services to embed functions and content in our website. In the case of such embedding, the services used record the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of users at least temporarily for technically compelling reasons.

For necessary security, statistical and technical purposes, third parties whose services we use may process data in connection with our activities and operations in aggregated, anonymised or pseudonymised form. This is, for example, performance or usage data in order to be able to offer the respective service.

Social networks and other third-party services

We manage various accounts and profiles on social networks (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIN, Xing, Instagram, etc.), YouTube channels and various apps. These sites and services are offered and operated by third parties. Each of these sites has its own privacy policy.

In addition, we directly integrate third-party services such as YouTube, Twitter, Google Maps, Google Ads, Google Custom Search, Instagram, bit.ly etc. into individual websites. These providers also use cookies, among other things. When using our website, user data is automatically transmitted to these companies. The data protection provisions of the respective provider apply. Users must be aware that data may be collected via these services and in turn passed on to third parties. If users use an account of a service at the same time, the operator can assign this transmitted information directly to the respective personal account.

We have no influence on the collection of data and its further use by these operators. We do not know to what extent, where and for how long the data is stored, to what extent they fulfil any existing deletion obligations, what evaluations and links they make with the data and to whom they pass the data on.

Success and reach measurement

We use services and programmes to determine how our online offering is used. In this context, we can, for example, measure the success and reach of our activities and operations as well as the effect of third-party links to our website.

We can also, for example, test and compare how different versions of our online offering or parts of our online offering are used (‘A/B test’ method). Based on the results of the success and reach measurement, we can in particular correct errors, strengthen popular content or make improvements to our online offering.

When using services and programmes to measure success and reach, the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of individual users must be stored. IP addresses are always shortened (‘IP masking’) in order to comply with the principle of data minimisation through the corresponding pseudonymisation and thus improve user data protection. When using services and programmes to measure success and reach, cookies may be used and user profiles may be created. User profiles include, for example, the pages visited or content viewed on our website, information on the size of the screen or browser window and the approximate location.

In principle, user profiles are only created in pseudonymised form. We do not use user profiles to identify individual users. Individual third-party services with which users are registered may be able to assign the use of our online offering to the user account or user profile with the respective service. We use the following in particular:
